Studying, Working and Living in the United States lends to a wide variety of feelings: excitement, surprise, happiness but also language, academic and integration challenges, loss of identity, anxiety, disorientation and confusion. U in the USA was founded to make life simplified for international students and foreign exchange visitors to the United States, help them interact more effectively with Americans, assist them in achieving their purposes in visiting the United States and bridge the gaps between cultures.

If you live outside the USA and want to come to California to study or participate in an exchange visitor program, we highly encourage you to follow the three steps below.

Step 1

• To study in the USA, please contact EducationUSA . It’s your official source on U.S. Higher Education. You will find the nearest center here.

• To participate in an Exchange Program in the USA, please contact the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. They engage youth, students, educators, artists, athletes, and rising leaders in the United States and more than 160 countries through academic, cultural, sports, and professional exchanges. • To get tips and access to local resources, please fill out this form here! We’ll send you local information specific to your projects.

Step 2

You have your visas, flight tickets, and you are enrolled in a U.S. institution or an exchange program, but you have questions about life in the USA.
